Your Role

You will work on the development of software for control systems and autonomous functions within flight technology. The work covers both development, testing, and verification – from concept and simulation to demonstrators and tests.

You will become part of the Flight Control Items section, responsible for development within control systems and flight technology, both in software, modeling, and hardware. The section belongs to the Advanced Programs business area, where we work with future flying vehicles. Currently, there is a major focus on unmanned systems, but we also drive studies within manned flight.

With us, you will work close to the technology together with other engineers and specialists in smaller teams where collaboration and problem-solving are a natural part of everyday life.

Your Profile

We believe that you genuinely enjoy software development and find it fun to learn and understand how complex systems work. You are curious, enjoy solving problems, and want to continue developing technically. During your first period with us, you will spend time learning how we work and how our systems function. You will receive support from a more experienced colleague.

You likely have a Master of Science degree or a similar background in software, control engineering, or flight technology. We are looking for both recent graduates and those with several years of relevant professional experience.

We primarily work in C, ADA, and Matlab/Simulink. At the same time, we test and introduce new tools and methods when needed.

Since we work closely together, it is important that you thrive in a team environment and enjoy discussing solutions and sharing knowledge with others.

You must also be able to communicate fluently in Swedish and English.

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance assessment according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
